Business Network Overhauls
This corporate environment was frustrated with internet dropouts, slow internal network speeds, network printer’s becoming disconnected, etc… The business was a typical example of problems stacked on problems.
A brand new ‘back plain’ was put in place. Full new Gigabit switches, up to date Enterprise gateway, and brand new Access Points distributed in the main offices. At 1/2 the price of there comparative estimates, not not only were their problems solved, but what was implemented was an affordable competitive solution.
With an internal network writing at only 10/mb’s and a slew of routing and packet loss issues, it became apparent that an upgrade was in order. The Network was wired in series, promoting complete network dropout when one switch showed signs of failure.
With big plans for VOIP in the future, a new series of business grade managed switches were deployed. Focusing on VLAN’s, QOS, and providing quality network communications to the local server, this network rebuild changed a lot in this Non-For-Profit.
With a focus on many third party providers, this automotive dealership was experiencing problems with several of their services. With limited internet speeds, and 50+ devices this dealership required support that worked within their limitations.
The process began with making adjustments to the internal network structure of the Dealership. Changing the scanner to SMB file shares instead of emailing large attachements, removing heavy use devices such as IOS devices with regular backup schemes, and eventually installing a system that would provide deep analytics on how the limited internet was being utilized. This dealership now has zero drop outs, a redundant dual WAN setup, and for their technicians, a stable reliable OBDII wireless system.
